Ordering a Pizza - Liberal Style - Health Care Reform

This link is from an ACLU site, and for once I agree with them: Click here for the link.

The Real Hillary Clinton

Well, we saw a glimpse of the real Hillary Clinton the other day. This YouTube link is infamous by now.

According to the news reporters, Apparently a bad hair day wasn't the only thing Ms. Clinton was having. Too bad that the entire message of the death and starvation in Africa was completely lost because Ms. Clinton isn't a diplomat.

Ms. Clinton needs to get over "Bubba" envy.

Protect Israel

The rise of anti-Jewish sentiment at the United Nations has never been higher. For those of you inclined in the Jewish and Christian faith, you know that the resurrection of Israel was foretold and that Scriptures also talk about the turmoil that will ensue until the end.

I am concerned that our current president and administration has lost the focus of protecting Israel. Those countries who stand with Israel and the people of Israel are God's chosen. Those who stand against them will fail. The following article comes from that Anti Defamation League

ADL: Secretary-General Sends Wrong Message to U.N. Anti-Israel Committee

New York, NY, July 22, 2009 … The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) said today that the United Nations Secretary-General sent the "wrong message" in his statement that was read at the opening of the meeting of the Committee of the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People (CEIRPP), which has ingrained bias against Israel.

Abraham H. Foxman, ADL National Director, issued the following statement:

Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon sent the wrong message to the CEIRPP by commending and supporting the committee which was created and continues to operate on the basis of anti-Israel rhetoric. In doing so, he continues to confer legitimacy and relevance on a committee whose raison d'etre is based on opposing the State of Israel. This goes against the very principles on which the U.N. was founded and undermines the role of the U.N. as a member of the Quartet.

How a committee that has failed to accomplish anything positive in its 35 years of existence continues to receive U.N. funding and plaudits from the international community is of serious concern, is demeaning to the U.N. and should be questioned by the member states. It represents the worst example of institutionalized anti-Israel bias in the United Nations.

In a July 20 letter to the Secretary-General, ADL urged the United Nations to immediately dismantle the CEIRPP and provided Mr. Ban with its new report "The United Nations Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People: 35 Years of Demonizing Israel," which documents the CEIRPP's history of anti-Israel resolutions and actions from its inception through today.

The Anti-Defamation League, founded in 1913, is the world's leading organization fighting anti-Semitism through programs and services that counteract hatred, prejudice and bigotry.

Sarah Palin

I hope Sarah Palin keeps at it. This link provides better insight to what she is doing.

Act Responsibly!

This quote from Thomas Jefferson says it all. Too bad the current administration isn't listening.

It is incumbent on every generation to pay its own debts as it goes.
A principle which if acted on would save one-half the wars of the world.

Obama Wants to Change our Cities Now

You really need to check out this link from the White House. Now the president wants to tell us where and how to live.

He has a grand plan for the cities, notice that he doesn't speak about rural parts of the country or small communities? Simply put -- they don't matter to him because they didn't vote and won't vote for him. Read the following excerpt from the President's speech. It ought to scare the hell out of you.

"The second proposal we call Choice Neighborhoods -- focuses on new ideas for housing in our cities by recognizing that different communities need different solutions. So instead of isolated and monolithic public housing projects that too often trap residents in a cycle of poverty and isolate them further, we want to invest in proven strategies that actually transform communities and enhance opportunity for residents and businesses alike."

--Translation: We will redistribute the wealth and provide you no choice in which to live.

God help us all.

Sarah Palin - No Cap and Tax

I've posted below, a op-ed by Sarah Palin from the Washington Post. I think it speaks for itself. Give 'em Hell Sarah. She is right on. Instead of pushing our country back to the 1890's, lets find alternative sources of fuel and address the pollution head on instead of putting a band aid on it by simply putting us all on par with the broke state of California.

Washington Post Op-ed: The 'Cap And Tax'

By Governor Sarah Palin (R-AK)

There is no shortage of threats to our economy. America's unemployment rate recently hit its highest mark in more than 25 years and is expected to continue climbing. Worries are widespread that even when the economy finally rebounds, the recovery won't bring jobs. Our nation's debt is unsustainable, and the federal government's reach into the private sector is unprecedented.

Unfortunately, many in the national media would rather focus on the personality-driven political gossip of the day than on the gravity of these challenges. So, at risk of disappointing the chattering class, let me make clear what is foremost on my mind and where my focus will be:

I am deeply concerned about President Obama's cap-and-trade energy plan, and I believe it is an enormous threat to our economy. It would undermine our recovery over the short term and would inflict permanent damage.

American prosperity has always been driven by the steady supply of abundant, affordable energy. Particularly in Alaska, we understand the inherent link between energy and prosperity, energy and opportunity, and energy and security. Consequently, many of us in this huge, energy-rich state recognize that the president's cap-and-trade energy tax would adversely affect every aspect of the U.S. economy.

There is no denying that as the world becomes more industrialized, we need to reform our energy policy and become less dependent on foreign energy sources. But the answer doesn't lie in making energy scarcer and more expensive! Those who understand the issue know we can meet our energy needs and environmental challenges without destroying America's economy.

Job losses are so certain under this new cap-and-tax plan that it includes a provision accommodating newly unemployed workers from the resulting dried-up energy sector, to the tune of $4.2 billion over eight years. So much for creating jobs.

In addition to immediately increasing unemployment in the energy sector, even more American jobs will be threatened by the rising cost of doing business under the cap-and-tax plan. For example, the cost of farming will certainly increase, driving down farm incomes while driving up grocery prices. The costs of manufacturing, warehousing and transportation will also increase.

The ironic beauty in this plan? Soon, even the most ardent liberal will understand supply-side economics.

The Americans hit hardest will be those already struggling to make ends meet. As the president eloquently puts it, their electricity bills will "necessarily skyrocket." So much for not raising taxes on anyone making less than $250,000 a year.

Even Warren Buffett, an ardent Obama supporter, admitted that under the cap-and-tax scheme, "poor people are going to pay a lot more for electricity."

We must move in a new direction. We are ripe for economic growth and energy independence if we responsibly tap the resources that God created right underfoot on American soil. Just as important, we have more desire and ability to protect the environment than any foreign nation from which we purchase energy today.

In Alaska, we are progressing on the largest private-sector energy project in history. Our 3,000-mile natural gas pipeline will transport hundreds of trillions of cubic feet of our clean natural gas to hungry markets across America. We can safely drill for U.S. oil offshore and in a tiny, 2,000-acre corner of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge if ever given the go-ahead by Washington bureaucrats.

Of course, Alaska is not the sole source of American energy. Many states have abundant coal, whose technology is continuously making it into a cleaner energy source. Westerners literally sit on mountains of oil and gas, and every state can consider the possibility of nuclear energy.

We have an important choice to make. Do we want to control our energy supply and its environmental impact? Or, do we want to outsource it to China, Russia and Saudi Arabia? Make no mistake: President Obama's plan will result in the latter.

For so many reasons, we can't afford to kill responsible domestic energy production or clobber every American consumer with higher prices.

Can America produce more of its own energy through strategic investments that protect the environment, revive our economy and secure our nation?

Yes, we can. Just not with Barack Obama's energy cap-and-tax plan.

Rush Limbaugh Should Retire

12 years or so, I really thought Rush Limbaugh had something to say. I watched his TV show without fail and bought his first book. It made some sense. I'm a pretty Conservative person but the reality is Rush is a liability. He is simply another entertainer like Ann Coulter who less that enlightened folk have begun to listen to as gospel. Both of these folks have damaged the Conservative cause beyond repair. It's time for them to retire, write their memoirs and let the serious people run the party. I agree with the adjacent picture. It's time for a "rush" to go back to a good time and not a radio pundit. I hope that people figure this out sooner than later. The last thing we need is a offshoot of a Conservative party as a third party to try to establish some sense of sanity to the true moderate stance of Lincoln Republicans and the party of Teddy Roosevelt.

We need to stop listening to the extremes and get back to center.

California is Broke

The state of California is officially broke, according to the Associated Press. The state is now issuing "IOU's" because it doesn't have the money to pay its bills.

I find it ironic that the federal government recently adopted the California model for emissions and carbon reduction. In a state where 80% of all the revenue goes to entitlements, I fail to see why the Fed would want to model itself after a state that drove itself bankrupt because of poor fiscal planning and an impossible environment where power blackouts and jammed highways are the norm.

It is time for a recall vote yet for Congress??

Give 'Em Hell, Sarah Palin

Sarah Palin has announced her resignation as Governor of Alaska. So.....One has to wonder what is next on her agenda.

I wish her the best. I think she has the drive and tough exterior to survive the cut-throat methods of government practices that tend to allow people there to feed on their young and stomp on their friends to get ahead.

I hope she keeps pushing buttons and stirring up the status quo.

Give 'em hell Sarah!

North Korea Needs To Be Punished

The "leader" of North Korea (I refuse to provide any forum for him to promote his name) needs to be taught a lesson.

This guy obviously has the little man syndrome and is trying to make up for his physical shortcomings by shooting off missiles off at his neighbors.

I'm thinking China could use a big parking lot and I think N. Korea would be a good candidate for it.

The people in that country need to deal with him. If he fires a missile at the United States, there needs to be an immediate retaliatory strike without hesitation. This guy is obviously nuts. Those around him need to be held accountable for his actions.

Angry American -9/11

I'm an angry American....

Today, for about the 10,000th time since September 11, 2001, I heard some airhead commentator minimize what happened. He reminded me how we need to move on and look to the future.

The statement: "Those who fail to learn the lessons of the past are doomed to repeat them" comes to mind.

I'm tired hearing "experts" tell me what is good for me. I'm tired of "experts" telling me we need to move on.

I've embedded the following 9/11 remembrance. Watch it and remember. Just like we remember Pearl Harbor; just like we remember the Holocaust; just like we remember the genocide in Bosnia and Somalia.

Be angry. Make the commitment to never let this happen again. Do NOT be complacent. Do Not allow your focus to shift. The deaths on that day represent our family...we are all part of the Country. Don't allow our elected officials to continue to pay the partisan game any more. Tell them you want them to get serious about terrorism. They need to do more than make us take our shoes off in airports. They need to develop the human intelligence we need to know who is out there so we can truly define the real threat. It's not just Hamas or al Qaeda. It's a movement that wants to eliminate our way of life.

Demand your elected officials pay the attention they need to this issue. It is no accident that our economy is in the tank. It is no surprise that morale and trust in our government is at an all time low. There is a reason why honorable men and women don't aspire to government service any more.

If we do not turn this around soon, it may be too late. Call your elected officials today and DEMAND they take immediate action.

RIP Soon, Please!

Michael Jackson has been dead for nearly a week now. The Today Show has become a shrine to Jackson with non-stop dribble about his life and regurgitating the trials and tribulations of his life...like anyone who hasn't been living on the moon would not be aware. Network news spent 80% of their air time on Jackson...no mention of the economic problems, no mention of Iran, Iraq or Afghanistan.

Any life cut short is unfortunate. Mr. Jackson deserves to rest in peace...and soon. I see no reason for the media hype that brought closure to a very troubled life.

Leave the family alone. Let the man rest in peace. He alone will have to answer to his maker just like we all will at some time.

Ed Murrow is probably rolling in his grave.
